Nowadays, for economic reasons, Rosetta's project should be finished at the end of 2015 and the spacecraft will be abandoned. Furthermore, since the spacecraft has been launched 10 years ago, softwares and hardwares are about to be out of date. However a license for a prolongation of the project has been requested, with which scientists would continue their experiences 1 year more.
